Yeah niffty tool, i love it!
A few weeks ago i had a similar idea .... basically, while in the editor, you would drive around the GTA map dropping checkpoints at intervals by pressing a key. The idea was that you could map out a race/route in real time. Now i'm just wondering, having seen this great trajectory tool if it's possible to create such a thing as a CP dropper tool for the editor while in test mode...
DrCrazy's tool is the next best thing, obviously cos it maps out your route, every little detail - the CP dropper is just a thought, but i'd be interested to know.

CP-drop could be nice for stock maps, not sure for circuits.
In custom maps the manual placement it's the best way, just to prevent: -tricky arrow directions (the arrow signs "left", but you have to do an S turn + overtake a wall before) -have cp bad placed in sight (you end a turn and the cp you can immidiatly see it's the after-next and not the next...) -out of ideal lines (in your chase i don't think... you drop it into your ideal line when drive...)
It's a nice technique, can be helpful to make a new generation of maps. Example: make a huge flat terrain and only cps with amazing trajectores/ideal lines... should be drift-astic. =)
If someone develops it I'm ready for it. Nice idea sputsi =)
p.s. After this tool i'm making Air2Flip (the evolution of AirFlip) and AirFlip3...
