suggestion: SKC 24/7 Dogfight server

The DogFight server isn't going well as I thought it would which is a real shame because when I am in a mood on going on it, nobody appears so I decide to leave and race instead :/
Reverting back to the original DM server and *cleaning* it a little is probabilly the best choice to make or else we are loosing more players continuously whilst the DogFight server is on.
I just can't get over the fact that fkin MTA:DM has still not come out. On there you can have lethal DM battles but for fk sake MTA, release the beast!

I have converted the server back to DM myself, as I had a recent backup of all the DM maps (as part of the maps section of the new site, all the maps are downloaded from the two servers each night and the authors and descriptions are analysed, and also registered users of the site can then download the maps).

Theres a few 'gimmicks' you can use in mtasaR, but thats just what they always will be, little fun things to play that add variety to the maps, and keep people interested, but at the end of the day, the thing that keeps us all playing this 4year old game, is online racing. You can add barrels, mines, planes, choppers, DM, TDM, CnR, KOTH, etc, but they will be always 2nd best on a racing game.

Have patience, we can all DM our asses off when its ready, and have dogfights, and count kills! But trying to make a DM out of a racing game just doesnt work that well, its not DM anyway, on mtasaR it is LastmanStanding, DM implies you die lots, when infact u only die once, unless theres RS on, and then its totally pointless...

The DM server is not 'always empty' - there's been occasions where there have been double the players in DM than in Race - but it is not doing well enough for me to continue paying extra for it for a lot longer. But as mentioned before, I want to keep it for a month longer, so I can see if Yoda's map prune (which will hopefully be soon since there's just too much shit on there at the moment) will help the situation.

If not, then we'll try the elite server idea. I like the idea of setting the maxping to a much lower number and also would like to make sure that noobs and laggers are referred to the normal server and then kicked out. But we'll investigate this in a month or so - for now I want to concentrate on getting the new site up and running, and it's pretty close

I don't regret trying the Dogfight server - I'm always up for trying something new, so-to-speak .

I'M NOT A deathmatch fan really,
some maps are fun but its all a bit repetitive [so is race come to think of it]
but anyway,
i think a dogfight server is an EXCELLENT idea, there are a pile of dm servers, its been done, at least a dogfight server will attract ppl to join it,
and actually the best dm map i ever ever played was a rustler dogfight one. great fun
