Can we pls consider taking it down. It was a nice idea to start off with but it's slowly become a nuisance and in my mind not worth the hassle for what it does. THinking about it for a moment there is already enough variety of time of day and type of weather included in the maps.

I'll be honest here, this does have a little to do with the fact that i've been dabling in the map making department lately aswell. A lot of thought goes into time of day/weather settings when making a map, for me anyway as i;m sure many map makers will agree, look and feel etc, and in that respect i suppose all the randomness of the script does is screws it up.

I don't wanna step on anyone;s toes with this so worries if there are too many objections to take it down and place it on the SKC shelf of dusty ideas.

Bottom line is, i've always thought the map settings were adiquate enough, i.e. they do the job, in more ways do it better, and require zero attention.

What say we.

What about a random time+weather every new map starts? i've seen it before on another server and worked well

Replacing it with something that does pretty much the same thing isn't what i was getting at Cortz lol

I mean once of a day it was a refreshing feeling when a map did start that had rain, because it was a scarce thing.

I'd rather we went back to that. As it stands now nothing really happens with the weather anyway, only noticable change is when it rains for several maps, and sometimes you get this wierd colored featureless sky and it just looks shit.

Well I definetelly love the day night cycle. Same map same eeather same time has gott boring over the years. Maybe the random on map start idea? Or even better jjust exclude rain from current script

What bugs me with the current script is the duration of every weather cycle, I don't mind rain but I don't want to have rain for 4 maps in a row...

Precisely, it works both ways aswell, on the server last night not long after MW finished the sun shinned for what seemed like forever. Not that i'm complaining, obviously it's better than rain for X amount of maps, but it's still 2 dimensional, if you see what i'm trying to say.

Now those maps that were played during the sunny period of course have their own weather/ToD settings, surely it's more interesting than constant blue sky, or low cloud, heavy cloud etc.

Can we simply change the proportion about the type of weather? For example:
60% sunny
30% cloudy
10% laggy-time (rain, fog, etc)
