st) Lenght between 0:40 and 4:00 minutes
nd) Start in wide areas/corners
rd) Checkpoints minimum size 4
th) NO MUSIC and/or rainbow sky
th) Use a "criteria" for placing checkpoints: -always signs the way where to go -make it visible from the racing line -don't make it cover obstacles -size it with the good scale of the place where you set it
th) Always check collisions of objects you place in the map*
th) TEST YOUR MAPS MANY TIMES!!!
th) Give space to cars when you place spawnpoints -set cars in ordinated rows (from 2 to 4 cars per row) -give enough space between cars -DON'T set cars in up-cliff
th) If you have a custom vehicle, send it to us as it was an indipendent resource (with his meta.xml + the .lua file, all into a separated folder)
th) Keep in mind the difference between "decorate" a map and "make a racing line" when you place custom objects: -decorate = set objects, OUT of racing lines, just to give atmosphere -make a racing line = set objects like walls, ramps, etc, to force players to run into a specific direction OR to cover some obstacles
* = Run trough it, hit it... check if the surface of the graphic is the same of the collision. Sometimes some objects "rounded" having a cubic collision instead
Periodically me and others will check during test seasons all maps recieved.
