All new additions to our pro race server! Be sure to break them in well!! :D

Some maps werent upto our standard, most were utter shite,....strange american crashing/ramming type maps, didnt look nice, and i remember from the yank server, they dont play very well either, some boring maps done around very familiar roads, offering nothing in terms of originality, or fun, been done many times before....better.

And some maps that just didnt load atall....

You made "dont wake daddy", mystic? I dont think it would work well, low speeds, cars clustering together unable to move, and a tank.....i think the tank would win, lmao, maybe a dumper would work as a basic idea, a dumper vs monsters? make it more like a k.o.t.h map?make it look nice too??? :P

and screwford was a shite cnr map, no need for any other comment there :P

Theres 1 cnr map on the server, it has 3 checkpoints, and can last from 60seconds, to 5minutes, its so simple, yet you can play it as a team, like CnR should be played...

So i cant wait to test all these new maps out with a full server :P, i even noticed Magenta speedway was good backwards, and i made a reverse version too, damn! Fookin avit u slagz!!!

*and MSD im not sure how badly "Under pressure" will lag online, its just the amount of objects that load at once, it creates a judder for me,.....we'll see,....and your silverforest, i think that was the one u said look at spawn vehicle? I did, and yes, i found sultan boring around the track, but i wanted to keep it a 4wd car like you intended, so an exciting car that isnt used much..... the ELERGY!! Its a perfect car for the track, should rock dude, v nice work

**oops forgot to list the maps i didnt let on....

dynamite sprint - way too many barrels to even try to race, and i cba to fix it, not a fun map
crank - i wanted to let this on, but the start was all wrong, way too cramped, the race would just stop before it starts, required too much work
Jump banshee - poor poor poor, jumps around LS/normal race, waaaay too many places to get stuck
tma-sa3 - i remembered this from the yank server, it wasnt fun then, it wouldnt be fun now either

And i just quickly fixed

eatmydirt - 2laps from 3 [the track over water with lots of crossovers]
Loop the loop reloaded - it still had places where u get respawn bugged....and yes i fixed spawn1 so its at the front
MotorCity Speedway1 - My map, the forwards version with 3 laps strangly, now 2 laps
northwood - had a dodgy shortcut
Zrink - 2laps from 3

hey HT, have edited "Under Pressure" a bit, changed some buildings. Hopefully it will not lag as bad now. I'm sure it will still lag in a few places. If its still bad, let me know where and I'll endevour to alter it again.

I've uploaded it along with another new one "porschecup08" :)

just went through them all, i got 20 maps, 4 of em are DD, alot of em are poorly made maps that wont make it, mixed in with some really high quality maps....what should i do with these DD maps?, some look ok...

lol we're being oggled,....my ears are burning :) I just saw the new maps msd, lol. I just finished last months maps, and edited "under pressure" too!, and you edit it aswell!!, D'oh! Ill check what u did and see whats better ;)

So im just finishing up the new arrivals, and ill look at the 6 ones msd just sent. Then i have just got a lil list of 15 maps on the server that need slight fixing.

*edit* Just went through those maps u just sent me msd, "the specialist3" is really good......damn u, stop making such good maps :D And i thought i had got "under pressure" to run smoother, i moved a few big buildings so u dont get that lag so bad, its when u cluster lots of buildings together tightly, they all load at the same time and everyone lags, i just spaced them out a bit more...

So i just got my little 'to-do' list of maps already on the server, just reducing more laps mainly....

Well i just mailed the new maps to 'Skey, and quite alot of fixed old maps

new maps:

Chase the ace - good loops, and WWII planes behind the start.
Easy Ways - Good offroading, with some nice jumps.
Hard Ways - Similar to that one, but much harder!
Everbright - Loopy type map, well designed, pls no more of these lol.
PorscheCup08 - MSD's usual high standard's in making a racetrack.
The Specialist3 - One of MSD's best tracks imo.
Closeracing11 - Short, crashes, should be ok.
Bewdley park - v nice looking racetrack.

fixed maps:

Under pressure - reduced laggy buildings
treadstone - 3 laps
thundervalley - 2 laps
the island - 2 laps
The infernal loop - removed cps to stop bad respawn
SF cops - 4sec rs
sandking - moved cp 2 to stop bad respawn
porschecup07 -3 laps
Norrisring - 3laps
MRL nurburgring - 3 sec rs
loop the loop reloaded - removed more cps to stop bad respawn
KB autocross - 1 lap
hotrodrash - 2 laps
Big D course pickup - 2 laps
alw friction - made start more 'fun'

Being my first map i have a couple of concerns H, the object size being one, and how the layout would work with a large number of players is my other, but i suppose there's only one way to find out. If either present to much of a problem let me know, especially with the layout. CPs are sound, tested until my eyes bled :p 4 laps in turismo, duration to 5 mins but can be done in about 3..

I will check your 1st map soon sputs! Ill be gentle i promise ;)

I just tryed something with the maps, quite a big change, i have been busy :P

All new maps for march will be processed at the end of the month...


Also i noticed last night at my bros house in wolverhampton, that his pc lagged in foggy mornings, and its a good pc too, but it only has onboard ATI x800 gfx. So his fps dropped by half in the foggy mornings. I changed alot of maps to this time of day 'cuz it looked nice....but i think this might be affecting server popularity. Does anyone else notice this type of lag?

And also as i was playing on LW's at 2:30am this monring with 16racers, i realised something...

You know why LW's has more players?

I do, its cuz of the 32player limit...

People see 2 servers, 1 with 28slots, and 1 with 32slots, and they will always go for the bigger server...

only 4 slots difference makes a noob choose between servers.

Its annoying cuz our server is so much better!!! :D:D:D

I only added a lap back to BigDcourse, at a rough guess i changed 15 names of tracks. Tracks with names like "6laps Nascar" is now called 4laps.

So its ok i think, the scripts just started new times for these maps, and its only BigD with 1 xtra lap...

na m8, just make em very fast!! The thing with your tracks is m8, that they are really worth the wait cuz u spend ages getting em right. I always smile when grand valley or forest speedway comes on, awesome tracks!

I spent another coupla days messing with the maps, still gonna do some more, its like a never ending struggle...lol :D

I think the toptimes and top3 times will need a reset at the end of the month, ive changed so much, and now people just keep !claiming back wrong times and stuff. So yeh, definatley needs a reset, can u keep player stats though?

Ive got all the new maps for March ready too, so im just gonna finish up and probably just send em u 'skey...

What player stats? Everything gets reset each month when the new championship starts.

I changed spawnpoints upto C in the list, i spent 3hours on them so far...

Well i uploaded this months NEW maps! along with the rest of the fixed maps. I have changed most racetracks to 4secs respawn instead of 3secs, i think the extra second will help reduce rs bug maybe. I edited weather and time to make maps brighter i hope. And other anal things like removing underscores from mapnames. Aswell as also fixing actual problem maps.....:P

New maps include:

bizzare love triangle - wide fast racetrack, unusual design
Going crazy - half custom racetrack, half around LS stadium, with hunters for company
Hans V1 - Short bike race, with a bicycle jump ending
maroon speedway - MSD racetrack [again??? ;)]
MotorZ - Another short bike race
RIP prison break - Unlike any map ive ever seen, its....a....prison break map...
The fast and the Furious firebird - Long name, short stock car race
venturasoverlap - A track around LV airport, smashing racing!

RIP prison break might be hated, but it is a very clever, well designed map, see what everyone thinks...

Crank - new short race around LV, fixed start
dragyourself - new kamikaze map, revised spawns
greenhell - old 4x4 map, 1lap
KB 1 - Mower racing!
rockandstonecity - short bike race
60degree - custom 4x4 map, 1lap
alw friction - 4x4 custom map, cleaned up start
City sliding - Stock map
master race - my old track, made shorter
Leaving lasVegas - Cars and plane race
Night of the phoenix - stock map
LasVegas Raceway - My new stock track

So quite a mix of new and old maps, and not a single flat custom track!

I had so many this month ive done them early, lots of good maps, but some poor map attempts too...

The good ones:

6Lap Hotring - The hotring track from SanFierro! reduced from 10laps
Alpha rush - stock race in the country, revised starting grid
Autocross750 - The kingbong original, i un-americanised it back to kb style ;)
Buffalo my love - Short race around the desert
City slickers reprise - Nice looking track, hard corners
Cortez one night in vegas - Fixed start, RC cars into bigger vehicles ruins races
Fast ways - The classic random american map!
Firetruck express - very short, but expect to die, lots
Fuckingcopsbike - short fucking cops bike race
High speed SF - banshee race round SF
Neverback - good race around the country in different vehicles
NoFear Chilliad downhill - be afraid
San Fierro bridge roundup - 3mins, 1 lap of the bridges in SF
Sultan bites the dust - Short race around the quarry
Taxi driver - classic racing, revised starting grid
The Panopticon - Offroading in storm


And the bad ones...

Bandito - short, but 32 cars into 1 lane doesnt work
Canal speedway - flat, uninteresting corners, and 1st corner pileup ruins it
DMC motor - been tryed before, and too similar to other straight loop type maps
Dockside blastaround - Shit old bike race
Dont miss your plane - Annoying barrels, over used route
dsg freerun - Bus into a bmx, RCplane, cropduster....nonsense...
heaven race - another unoriginal, overused route
miniputt - hahahahahahaha no
quarry run - 1 quarry race per month is enough?
San andreas sightseeing - Hans, stop making shit ok? :D
Sand tour - nothing that bad, but way too similar to all other sandking desert races
sc boatse - down cilliad in a Dinghey?! Not on my watch! :D
The jumper - 75% of all bike races involve jumping, and they suck too!
The jumper2 - u spent quite awhile on this, shame its bikes jumping
Ultimate run - So stupidly random, Combine into a dinghey? pfft, we like racing tbh
Welcome to vinewood - Turismo around the hollywood hills? oh shit! exactly like that other map

So all done, now theres nothing to stop me winning THIS month's championship! :D

Is this sticky topic for maps? If not, I think we should have a maps corner on forum. Anyway, Ivan(SCG) asked me to share some of his best maps (he thinks of them that way) with some good servers today, since he quit and all that. So, I gave them to rafs. Now to skc...and dont know any other good race server, so that will be it. Point is, I cba uploading them 1 by another in "upload map" section, so there it is, a mappack, and u sort it

Have sent you a map I made today, had the idea for a while, not that its really groundbreaking. Mixing a CnR and a CP race together. The racers/robbers start away from da polis and the cops can't get to the 1st CP, so their aim is just to screw up the robbers race. I'm just not sure if ppl like it or not..Discuss....

I started going through all the maps again, editing spawns and starting grids.

Its slow progress, but im upto map 85/295 so far...

Im putting right all the maps i find with starting grids the wrong way round

And any maps with stupidly crowded starting grids im making bigger

I shouldve done this ages ago, but i like playing mta too u fucks :D

*edit* Omg i had a mission today, i got to Porschecup08 in the list, only about another 100maps to go......should be nice with more room to just race...

Finished editing spawns and starting grids on 290+ maps!! Only took 2days! Easy!

Lol but i did have 2 days off work, so if u like the maps, then u owe me money lmao!

This will be the single biggest improvement i have made to the maps ever, ive deleted starting grids from 3year old maps and started over......Big changes!!

Huge!!!

Too many to name.......i moved that bridge that stopped u on that track, u know, the invisible wall bit.....ummm, yeh, thats 1 thing anyway.

Oh and i even found time to test and add new maps too...

Complete Drag - Its a drag maaan
Crane traffic - Unusual design, i didnt like it, but its original i guess...
Dockirace - He made a 2minute+ lapped track, no shit, 3laps? 1 will do!!
Last one to the beach is ghey - Sandkings, racing, fo shizzle ma nizzle!
Pure racing - Cant actually remember it, but i let it on so it must be ok :P

And some more 'new' maps.....ok i just reversed some of msd's maps

The Specialized 1 2 & 3 - reversed versions of "The specialist"
The cheetah circuit - reversed "The unnamed circuit"....and named it :P

Its new map day!

20 new maps added, a few quality tracks, a few random fun maps, some old classic races. T'sall good my Son, AviT U SlaGz!

1Lap - LV circuit at night in a storm
beachdrag - ok drag i suppose....
carparkmess - changed halfway to 4x4 to make the smashes more interesting
cranetraffic2 - changed name to replace original, made cps point right way
Destruction derby race - ok DD race
Downshift2 - good sequel to original
Heavy - Mission1 - good circuit
red water sprint - another quality track, fixed spawns
Sewers - classic race
[FSA]Hayramid - bike climb random map, changed end to bouncy mines to kill everyone
FSA moto 8track - lots of death expected, oncoming traffic on 8track...
FSA Terra incognita - Good custom offroad track
FSA Velodrome - strange map, unsure if it is fun, bicycle oval?....
FSA Via Ad Hadem - another loop map, one of the best i have seen
FSA Springfield - nice custom circuit
Ghost Valley - Mario Kart!

Might be a few more i forgot.....should all be ok though, rock on mofo's! :D
