Some maps don't fit easily into just one category. In such occasions, it would be useful to assign multiple categories to a map.
One way to do it would require a syntax like: !settype stock, multicar, luck
The command !votetype could then choose a map based on the tags assigned to it.
Finally, I'd change the "custom" category to "circuit", because custom map means "everything else other than stock" map, by convention. But I'm just being picky on this one
PS: And I think there's no need to create a category just for three maps. Instead, delete the KOTH maps, and you're all set.

hmm, what if u script it so there will be a max of 3 maps of the same type played in a row? Wouldn't that help to overcome the massive amount of custom maps?

i don't think that would work; because there won't be always 3 maps in a row of the same type, or even if they are, that type might be a different type than the one with lots of maps
anyway, one thing is for sure: we can't play all the maps we have if we want random type every time; that doesn't mean that the maps won't be played ever, just that they will come out rarely
imo we can stay with the current system; there are already lots of improvements in the mapping system, i guess we can live with that

What about introducing the map packs idea here, split all the custom maps (because there are so many) into 2 or 3 packs and alternate weekly?

I'd personally like to see LESS circuit tracks, some are good, others are average, then some are completely pants. Surely you could half the number of them and not even notice the shit ones are gone? I hate it when they come on all the time, so less of them would prevent this, i don't mind the good ones but some are plain shite!
