Is it possible to duel-boot from two HDs - Vista on one and XP on the other, or does it require you to have both operating systems on atleast one drive for it to work?
Primary Vista Secondary XP
^ possible?
Or the one and only way:
Primary Vista Secondary Vista, XP.
I realise it's called duel-booting for a reason, i just need to know for sure.

Shouldnt be a problem when u first install XP and then Vista after that. If Vista is already installed u might have some issues.
See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919529/en-us to fix it.

Hmm, well XP is already installed on my old drive so it should be a case of installing Vista after it. That said, there is data besides my OS on the old drive so i'll probably need to wipe it and do a fresh install of both OSs??
I know more about what's going on on the other side of a black hole than i know about duel-booting

Don't worry Matt, i'll be "upgrading" Adiboy's head to rubble if it don't work j/k
So just to clarify, duel-booting can only be performed using two OSs (in this case Vista and XP) on ONE drive, and not say, as my simple brain was imagining, Vista on one drive and XP on the other?

Yea XP is still the best.. I've seen the test results (performance, speed, etc) of Windows 7 compared to XP and Vista. XP is was just a little faster and stuff..
Here is a screen how my desktop looks which i posted on another forum once: (dual-screen)
