Yo..to the problem in hand, i got home today and went to turn my computer on only to find when it had loaded up that the resolution was changed to 600x800, so i thought nothing of it and tryed getting into the catalyst control center, but it wouldn't let me, it loaded for a few seconds and then nothing....so i restarted my computer to see if it would let me but still nothing it just wouldn't let me change back to my normal resolution which is 1440x900. I've searched all over but i can't seem to find anyone who has had this problem...

So i thought maybe its the drivers? i tryed installing the latest drivers but it said that it couldn't because "The display is not compatible with the display adapters installed in your system." So i cleaned off all the drivers i had on my system and tryed reinstalling the latests drivers to no avail...So i went on to the Dxdiag, only to find that it says theres no graphics card in my PC??? And that its also says "Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer."I have absolutely no idea what to do...All my computer is really laggy, aint really good with this sorta shit and it doesn't that i can't find the CD my X1650 pro agp came with. Help much appreciated boobs!

If it doesn't recognize it and you didn't mess with the drivers, it prolly means ur 1650x is broken :?

Already tryed that ruuub, i uninstalled all that shit, rebooted my computer, then tryed installing the uptodate software and it came up with the same message. "The display is not compatible with the display adapters installed in your system." Thats what i'm thinking mystic but i'm hoping someone has a solution to this, otherwise i'll have to use my backup gfx card, my Radeon 9550 lol.

Clearly your pc doesnt "see" the card. Otherwise you should have no problem installing the drivers.

1) Open your pc
2) Get the card out
3) Clean of all dust from both the card and slot
4) Put it back in
5) Hope that somehow magically fixed it

I would recommend reinstalling the motherboard drivers.

Is the fan spinning? ( assuming it isnt passive cooled)

You wouldnt have a spare pc lying around to test wether the card went tits up?

Test another AGP card if possible. Also could it be your monitor playing up? Just a thought.

You system probably feels laggy/slow because you removed the GFX driver, i wouldn't worry about that.

Try driver sweeper http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ it cleans your system of leftover files such as registry keys that may cause issues when updating your old card driver. Carful with it though, read up on anything you ain't sure of

easy fix for this, uninstall all your programs, delete any music and video file collections, make sure you delete your bookmarks and saved passwords, then try turning your monitor upside down, if you have problems balancing it try using your graphics card to prop it up... all your probs will be gone

uninstall drivers, turn off pc, remove card, start pc with onboard gfx (if u got em), turn off pc, put gfx card back in, reinstall drivers.

if that dont work, goto device manager, show hidden devices, any display device that aint ur gfx card, remove, then restart. hope that helps
