So i finally got a new card today(after my 470 died after 2 weeks) opted for a GTX460 so much cheaper than the 470 £130 cheaper in fact only paid £165 the 470 cost me just shy of £300,anyway here it is http://www.ebuyer.com/product/227182 this is one of the cheapest 460's but one of the most powerfull as it comes overclocked out of the box its got realy good reviews on Guru3d http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-460-review/1

Yeah plays Bad company 2 maxed on dx11 with around same fps as i got with the 470,its also a lot smaller than the 470 and doesnt get as hot.So yeah im pretty impressed.

It's weak PSU for these cards IMO. I have Gigabyte GTX 460 1 GB Version as I wrote above some months ago together with 550W PSU.
I think you should look at other pages for these cards and check power requirement

Yeah and i wouldnt go for the ASUS card if i was you,i purchased the GTX470 and had overheating problems within a month,if ur goin for a 460 i'd go for the "palit" card really good performance on this card http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-460-review/1

More importantly, what CPU are you running? No point in getting a good GFX if your CPU will bottleneck the entire system.
And as long as your PSU is from a quality brand you rly don't need that much wattage unless u plan on using SLI.
