I'm not sure if they can really be considered 'rivals', since they both come from VAG and share the same platform, but one is of a different price range to the other. You might as well also add the Cayenne to the list.

I think the Q7 looks best, so I vote for that

I'd not compare an Audi Q7 with a VW Touareg lol.

The market price for a Q7 is approx Â£25,000
The market price for a VW touareg is approx Â£11,000

But yeh, overall Q7 is nice. I go in my uncles a lot and tbh the interior gets boring as the dash is very ugly looking to me although saying that most Audi's have a solid design and just run for a long time but this one also does, just not my favourite dash. The 7 seats is the plus point for this car and the rest, well i'm not really a 100% fan of Q7 although they have a nice exterior.

I think I have also found this pic to prove my point.

I don't like touaregs at all lol. Cheap, ugly, Cheap, ugly. That's the only pattern I see in them.

I don't even know why other people like it. It hurts my eyes lol.
And calling it a 'big' car? lol thats a 'big' sin. It's shite.

In my country Q7 is cheaper than Touareg

Plus, don't forgot Touareg pulled a plane :cheers:

Merc ML430 4.3l, Luxury & Electric & Family pack meaning 7 seats. Sport Utility Vehicle. I'd say even at that age, it kick the touraeg arse. Toureag comes in 3.2l tank. ML430 is a 4.3l tank with V8 and toureag is V6. I'd still think it would kick ass. But Q7 will whoop it's ass lol. and the new X5. Whoooooop.

The X5 is v-nice. The new one. I'd pick the X5 over Q7, seriously.

All these SUVs that can't go off road are utter shit.
What's the point in them? For overly rich wankers to pose about town in them, that's what. My fucking Fiat Punto probably has probably had more off road action than most of these SUVs in Aberdeen.
These kind of cars really piss me off, and they're usually driven really badly too, a fucking danger to other road users.
The only people who should have 4x4s are people who need them, like farmers, like my dad for example, he has a LR Discovery Mk2 with a thick coating of mud, a huge towbar sticking out the back, and off road tyres on it. It gets used properly!

(I also think the Q7 is F-ugly)

I had Mitsubishi Pajero (Shogun in uk) Sport. We bought it used, for offroad driving. Mainly,because hunting, hiking and all that...where is no road arround...or where is crap road.

And I agree with Matt in some way. Uselessly extralarge cars shouldnt be allowed in cities. Offroad - should. They waste parking space, driving space, cant see anything of them, etc.

And drivers abuse their powers. I did. I got nickname "crusher". I was replacing front bumpers every month or 2.

From my own experience living in Aberdeen (oil capital of Europe btw, that probably explains it) most of these types of vehicles are driven by overly-rich neds (or chavs as they are known in England) with a better eye for quality than for taste, lol.
And they are driven badly in Aberdeen. For example, I had one trying to go straight ahead on a roundabout in the right hand lane when I was turning right in the middle lane so I was in the left exit lane. Not fun having one of those flying towards the drivers door in a Punto... Needless to say the idiot slammed on the brakes, honked their horn to make out it was my fault, while I just gave them the finger and floored it...
