I think is a problem of my internet connection (sucks).

I reduce to Low all graphic effects in GTA (since about a month).
I reduce the resolution from x32 to x16.

Have you any one suggest? I didn't have background software opened during mta run (and my pc's is sufficient power for the game).

My ping usually is between 80 (good days) and 140 o_O (whit tops of 180 !!!!).

I didn't want to make problems whit my lag to others... if during a game you see me in lag, SAY that to me, and i log-out. No problems guys, i play 4fun and for give fun to others. ^^

Thanks for all,
Docki

p.s.
Scuse me for my english, i usually wrong all verbs. :P

If you have anti-analizing running in GTA settings, switch that off and thats all I know really that will help.
Try switching some processes off by doing ctrl+alt+del and in the Processes tab, there should be some processes running. Try aborting some useless ones like MSN or etc. It many help a little.
If that doesn't help, then your PC may not be up to the standards. You need at least a 128mb dedicated graphics card and 512mb memory if on XP or 1024 memory if on Vista to run this game smoothly.
If all of that's not the problem, then it may be a bad internet connection. If it's supposed to be over 2.3mbps, contact your ISP to initialize the problem.

I got all graphics maxed out, but in my opinion your graphics don't cause ure high ping, possibly only just al little lower fps, should be 25 all the time.

If u got even like 6600gt or better like i got (which broke down) i was able to play mta 1024*768 resolutoin 32bit all others on like medium, and whit 512k internet on 56 ping (cuz i live here where i do :P)

The problem is possibly your connection, which realy sucks.

Tell what gfx card u got?

You live in Sicily? That may cause you lag if italy got suck-ass lines to there from continent. Have u lagged in past? how much ping?

I get no need from lower graphics to ping, get fraps and use setttings which u can get 25 fpsall the time.

He said his ping ranges between 80 to 180.

I play max resolution (1280x1024x32) with an Nvidia PCX 5750 128mb Dedicated Graphics which I got years back when I first mae my PC. Internet connection is just about 2.0 mbps.
Try mentioning the graphics card. Is it shared? Is it dedicated? Which model?

I still say no much effect on ping whit graphics.

No post forwarding needed, if port bloked no possibility of connection.

But wtf? Ugot 2core cpu and 2gb ram, but some suckass gfxcard? Even i got better when i bought this machime (my cpu über shit and 1gb ram). Get a new one, they're cheap. But its not ure lag reason.

Possibly someone has saved some money not buildin good lines there when thougth no-one need better :D but elite mta players do.
