| So, I got a model done in 3ds max 2008 (on m8's pc), but I cant load it on my pc, because I have 3ds max 8. I tried export as *.3ds, but then, model gets some bugs. Any1 has some idea how to solve it?

well i'd say that there is no solution, i had same problem in the end i just moved back to max 9 there is no Vray for 2008 anyway
however a quick google search =>
You can export your .max2008 files in some other format, say, .fbx, .3ds or .ase, and those will open in max9.
