New project: The SKC Racing Team

As some of you might know, i was planning to make a new skc tribute.( I allready made "MTA/SKC Server Movie" and "High Speed Racing")
But after recording for about 2 hours i realised i'm not able to do it. For some weird reason my pc lags way too much when recording and i cba to play at framerates of 15-20.

So this time i want to deliver the footage needed for my video

I want to make a tribute to all the SKC racers who are showing the noobs what pwning is all about

I need about 30 secs-1 minute of footage from every individual racer.

The video won't be just alot of scenes played in a row, there will be about 20-30 seconds footage/racer with your name mentioned in big letters!

This really doesn't require a lot of effort from you.
Just put on fraps or any other recording program for a half-hour or something like that.( if u want to record for a longer time ,i won't stop you

more recording ---> more and better spectacular scenes :mrgreen:

)
It takes about 5 minutes to cut out the good parts and convert it to video files (use windows movie maker, really easy to use).
And prolly less than 10 minutes to upload it somewhere.(if you don't know where, use http://www.2shared.com )

You can put all the scenes in one video file if you want to, but i prefer separate files. And please use a normal video codec

And use resolution 640 x 480 please, you can record it on a smaller resolution (example: 512 x 384), but convert it to 640 x 480
And also don't add any effects to it, and don't bother recording sound,i won't use it anyway.
Oh and don't forget to name the files like your nickname.

TD Mystic1.avi(0:10 )
TD Mystic2.avi(0:20 )
TD Mystic3.avi(0:17 )
TD Mystic4.avi(0:08 )

and many others! I'm counting on you guys.

PS: If i don't receive enough video's by 29/06 (sunday) i will abort this project... (and be really pissed

PPS: I won't be using windows movie maker this time, like i did with the other 2.

Now i'm using sony vegas to make it look a bit more "professional".

Well, same here tru, and i was going to start recording when I get my harddrive from my brother when he goes on a trip. That means Mystic is at least not counting on getting anything from me.

I'll be doing recordings anyway, so i'll give some to you when I have them.

I have some parts of videos when i "slalom" in the "traffic" at high speed.
My work in progress (in my noobness of video-making xD) was an "Insane Racing" vid... but is too hard whit wmm.
Whit wmm, when i found a good piece of video for an advanced part of the soundtrack, i can't put this piece where i want in the timeline, but ONLY as consecutive after the last clip. (aka: is a crap program)

Anyway, NO problemo. I'll upload all material on my "recycle bin" (my website) and send by pm the links when i finish.

lol,i just randomly picked some people who were on top the the statistics board

and about preferences:
-640 x 480
-25 fps
-a normal codec, avi or wmv or something like that, no special stuff just to get it 1 mb smaller

and btw, it doesn't have to be new footage, it can be footage from a year ago,i don't care as long as it has tight driving,insane stunting and 1337 pwning in it :lol:

So what you gave me fresh, isn't bad and i'll use some of it, but could you also post some stuff of pwning other people?

Oh,and like i said, please cut out the good parts yourself, i've got a really crappy internetconnection and i cba to download 200 mb files...
I don't need a lot of stuff, just good stuff.

What cortez posted is very good, exactly what i need, a few good short scenes,nothing else.
only one down point, I'd like to have a lot scenes with people/skc members in front of you and you overtaking the noobs.
But when you are in 1st place it seems like you are alone on the server.

Example of some scenes that would be good:
-3 (or more

) SKC's sliding into a corner at the same time without crashing.
-overtaking the noobs using nitro hax.
-Barrel rolls, backflips, front flips,...
-taking difficult corners without braking
-usage of shortcuts

I don't want to make a boring video and i cba to download huge files and cut out the good bits from whole 3 minute long races myself.
Cortez's file was pretty good. 7 files that are 10-20 seconds.
And it was only 10 MB

what you should do is try to arrange a 'get together' on the circuit server say on a fri/sat night, where we all race and do some fraps, so then when it comes to editing, you will have multiple camera angles of certain shots (drifing round bends ect)

I may come back into action next week as I have my final exam (for 'this' year) on Monday so after that i'll be fine to help or join in if you like.

BTW: TD do you know where I can d/l a copy of the CR4CK3D version of Vegas Pro because my trial has expired ages back.

I just want to add to TD's post that the best format to encode the AVI movie clips recorded using FRAPS is MP4 in H264 Video codec as it will encode with a very clear video output. If you don't know how to do that just use Windows Movie Maker, drag video into and extract the movie using the the 'More Settings' drop-down as DVD quality which is 3.0 mbps and also if everyone records at 640x480 on GTASA it would be better as the file will be smaller and quicker to convert and will hopefully all be the same.

Remember not to upload the original files recorded be FRAPS as they will be too large. Try converting it if you can.

Everybody was very enthusiastic and shit, but in the end they cba to actually do something. If anybody has got footage,feel free to send it to me. I might do something with it in the feature. But i need footage from 10-15 members to make something good...

as for everyone else:
if you record yourself for 20-30 races over 3-4 days you should all come up with something good, if not you prob suck!!

and yes deadlines are good, most people get fuck all done without deadlines. {wasnt i meant to get a job by last christmas?? hmmmmm}

I compress in a single file some "pieces" from my archive.

This is 1st part. I hope to send you the 2nd part, whit most recently vids in first 3 days of next week.

160mb is the file, wmv format (i hope was good).

I put into only:
-circuits racing
-overtakes
-some start scenes
-some close-corners scenese

Why don't you make a post inviting as many SKC (preferably racers) for sessions on the circuit server, give a time and regular date for as many as possible, password the server, everyone brings FRAPS, and if you do that for a few weeks it shouldn't be long before you have more than enough footage for the vid. Plus this way you'll have players featuring in other players clips, form different angles and such. Difficult to organise maybe but worth a try.
