I have some issues when I use .fraps videos in Sony Vegas: for first, vegas needs Fraps installed to learn all videos producted with it; 2nd, "shit appens", after a long season of editing the software reads bad those videos (interferences, cutted parts, noise, etc).
Do you know anything else tested and safe instead of fraps?

X-fire also have ability for recording, but it did not work for me. Do you compress your recoded vid with virtual dub Docki?
