Well I'm currently waiting for Friday (payday :P) to roll round so I can buy the fucker.

£37 out of Asda btw. Fucking right.

Buuuut I did play it round a mates house on the PS3 and it was fucking awesome. Spawning the helicopter and jumping out of it is fun as anything. The falling seems shitloads more realistic compared with SA/VC/III. Also, using the rocket launcher and grenades to blow shit/people up just seems so much more... entertaining :)

It looks great visually but i can't say sod all about what it;s like to play cos i don't have the game or own either consoles to play it but from what i've seen on the net it looks stunning.

I was hoping for ragdolls and better FX's, looks like they dilivered on that by a long way, but i was/am also hoping for a more physically interactive environment to go at, how well have they dilivered? I'm interested to know what little quirks there are, what nice touches in the game really stand out for you?

imo, the interactiveness is great at the start, but then u come to realise that gtasa was WAY more interactive, i think they spent to much care with voice acting and shiney graphics... i doubt this will last as long as gtasa did... bring on GTAV! and for fucks sake, GIVE ME OFFROAD!!! i hate fuckin citys

Got my copy this morning, haven't had that much time to play but I've had a quick look at 1P and race ol.Looks nice, gotta get used to new controls, handling & physics.
I have to say the online race is good, but it feels a bit like you're playing burnout rather than GTA. It could be that I've been spoilt by MTA or just that I am gta iv noob. That's my opinion atm. I'm sure once I've got used to it and had some good online battles I'll be singing it's praises.

How good is the cop system this time round? One thing i disliked about SA was the dumb AI. I've seen some footage of shoot-outs and wotnot but i'd like to hear your personal opinions.

The different modes online are nice :D but my stats wont save.. every time i play and reach rank 3. I turn off my PS3, the next time i start playing gta iv all my stats are gone and im rank 0 again :( Other PS3 gamers have the same problem.. Rockstar needs to fix this soon :D

but what a damn nice game :P

The only thing is. Rockstar needs to make a server list, now they just throw you into a session. somethimes you're alone and sometimes there are like 7 players.

me and IG played freeroam last night, what a laugh, if the server emptys you can just take on the police, and this time round they actually kick your ass if u get cornered, and they can kill u while u sit in a car... QUICKLY... it would be great with lots of u taking on the cops! we didnt get it over 3stars tho, would be cool if u could get the army after 16 of u

You have 2 different types of racing. The first one is just racing, and the other type is race but with weapons, so you can get out of your car and blow up your opponents :P I do like the normal race mode the most. its a bit like Burnout, and there isnt much lagg :D

Tonight i played whit GTA4 (PS3) at home of my friend.

OMG, handling is absurd! Cars dancing!
The game is extremly detailed for a lot of nice stuff, is hard fall in boring.
I can't try the online game, later we try.

Verdict? Is a ViceCity-Expansion. :P

The mechanic is the same... nice all stuff, nice "Niko" (great character), nice the story.... but drive... brr... i think on keyboard some troble can be fix, but on joypad, for me, is a tragedy. :P

R2 for accellerate
L2 for brake

Left/Right for run backward/forward?!?! Not user friendly. :P

Take corners whit Handbrake/brake require A LOT of pratice.

Rate: 8 for all - 6.5 for drive

I hope in a map editor for a pc version... a lot of object in map are awesome. *_*

You can change the controls to classic so you get the old style, the way i prefer, whoever thought triggers would be good to drive with must be retarded. X to accel and square to brake! But the handling gets easy after a few tries and sa handling suddenly feels terrible.

Xbox is retarded too. It uses triggers and the controller is slightly heavier than the heaviest brick in the universe. If you threw it at a window, it'd go straight thru and come out of the other side of the house. If you threw a PS3 controller, it'd just bounce off like a tennis ball.

I don't like Xbox's idea of having gigantic controllers

Killer, not to turn this into to a fanboy war or anything. but stfu.

The original xbox pads were fucking huge, no doubt about it, but they realised the error of their ways and changed them. The new pads are a tad bigger than a PS2 pad.

PS2 + Xbox 360 pad:

Not really much of a notable difference there tbh.

And you know the PS3 pad has triggers, right? L2 + R2 are triggers now, not buttons.

Finally got to play it for the 1st time yesterday and I have to say its absolutely awesome.
Invading the hospital lobby and shooting everyone in sight has never been so realistic!
Handling of the cars needs some getting used to but we'll be fine i suppose. The detail and depth of the city is just unlike anything I've ever seen in any game.

I did notice a slight lag from time to time. And that was on a PS3 :o

I'm not sure about the 'very impressive' multiplayer, it's average at best. The story mode make's this game what it is.

I must say that when I played it on my playstation the online was fabulous. There were no visible bug throughout the game and the detail to greaphics is impressive. I played online with my mate on his playstation and the online multiplayer was communicating online very smoothly without any type of problems given. For me, i'd say it's great.
I haven't got the game but borrowed it off my mate. Hopefully I may buy it but tbh don't have much time to play anymore.
