Just, if i get some more RAM. Not sure about processor tho, they say minimum Core2 Duo, but my trusting 3.0Ghz P4 shouldn't let me down, i hope.

MTA said on their site they've reserved the domain mta-iv.com
Back on-topic. I can definitely run it. Will be great to be back playing with the SKC guys again. Hell, I even have it on pre-order. £25 from play.com. Woo!

25 quid? Wut? MTA IV seems pretty pointless with GTA having a multiplayer already...What exactly do they plan on doing? Taking another 4 years to edit the way the perfectly fine built in multiplayer works and making it buggy?

i beg to differ, what made mta so good was the custom maps. personally i found sa-mp boring cos you couldnt do anything with it, whereas mta is much more versatile.

Map Editor is definately a must for racing, keeps the game fresh. If that's all the MTA team does i'll be a happy chappy.

That doesn't bother me too much as this is one game I'm actually acquiring legitimately and I intend to play it online.

they can release it in march for all i care, that's the soonest i'll be able to play it anyway
I'm a bit worried about these delays though, it obviously means they still found some bugs that they're fixing right now, but since there is a deadline, the coding might go a bit fast ---> new bugs? and what about the bugs that they haven't found yet?
lol, they haven't released it yet and i'm already taking the piss

Bugs and patches go hand in hand in the PC gaming world, that much we do know, so we should expect a few things will need fixing. But i couldn't give two hoots tbh, i'm just looking forward to the new era of GTA online (with SKC of course), and hopefully some MTA to follow!

I 'obtained' a copy of the game to try out (wasn't willing to spend hard-earned cash unless I was sure it would play on my current setup). Haven't had more than a few minutes of playing time (the 'drunk camera' effect present in naughty copies makes sure of that) but it runs almost unplayably slow for me - and I think my box sits around the cusp of the 'recommended' specs. Perhaps the first time you visit areas it caches a bunch of stuff that makes it quicker for next time.

WTF, i can't login to windows live. Already tried everything, opening ports, disabling firewall, nothing will work. So now i can't play the multiplayer or even save my game.
WHY ON EARTH DO I NEED TO BE LOGGED IN TO SAVE MY GAME ???????
Game runs semi-good fwiw. I get 34 average fps in the benchmark but i still get framedrops to like 20 when actually playing. And thats on a Q6600 + HD4850 using medium settings.

Impossible to play multiplayer anyway. I was on a server for about 5 minutes then my framerate took a dive. So I was auto-kicked for my computer running too slow... ghey.
They all seemed like retards anyway, it was just one huge deathmatch, even though it was free mode, not deathmatch mode.
I did watch a fucking hilarious TV programme in the safehouse earlier though. Republican Space Rangers! It was a 10-minute long uber-retarded cartoon.

Yer, already did all that jazz. Posted on another forum and it seems im not the only who can't login to Windows Live. They told me to make an offline profile instead. At least i can play singleplayer now and save my progress.
Guess i'll have to wait for a patch before i can go online.

Doesn't work unfortunately. You really need windows life to be able to play it online.
