When making a map, is there a sort of ideal number of objects to not exceed? I can imagining it's quite high looking at some of the custom maps, and i realise that a lot of lagg is down to system specs, but in general, is there a roundabout max figure?

250 objects per 600*600 square. I have no idea how u can measure that tho

In my opinion, the less the better.
Any objects on the map contribute to lag, so a near-object free map would make everyone happy!

Checkpoints, Pickups and Spawns count as objects too when you "show all" in the map editor, and this map i'm on with at the mo is nearing 300 objects, though around 50 of those will be CPs, 28 are spawns and 8 pickups - 86 in total before adding anything else, and i do plan on reducing the number of objects by about 50.
I could do with looking at some examples. The last thing i want is a laggy map as the end result.
