Hey guys, i noticed that you guys are good at making Custom maps, and as [SKC]Harum tells me, some maps are converts from rFactor.
well, i would like to suggest a map to convert (however its not from rFactor) Its a real racecource in Australia for Touring cars. Bathurst. i can extract and send the files from Race Driver 3 if anyone is interested in doing a convert.
i would try it myself, but i don't know the first thing about converting maps / model editing.
IF you guys did a convert on this map into mta, the only thing i ask is that i could get a copy of it for PS servers.
Either way, here is a coupple of videos of the real Bathurst. - im sure you will be able to see why i would like to see it in MTA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xR6xB6bCQb8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uja5ZTMF ... re=related

Well, that too, its a great track, and it would also go well in your server.
I probably did word the first post a bit wrong - i have this thing where i speak before i think.
IF you guys did a convert on this map into mta, i will supply the original files from RD3, then i would like a copy, but if not its no great loss. however the map would go well in your server, Bathurst is kind of like the australian Laguna Seca.

Ahhh yes, sorry mate, clocked it in your 1st post - thought i recognised the bend in the first screenie
Anyway i think it's great idea, if Ivan can pull it off, it would be fantastic to have some classic touring tracks on the server, starting with Bathurst!!

Well, bathurst as the test platform is prolly a good idea. i dont know the first thing about opening this shit, its Codemaster's .big files, for the map, texturs and all that, may take some looking into to work out how to open it.
But heres the files, if you want any others of those maps, like Laguna Seca, tell me and iil upload them. - the only one im super-interested in is Bathurst tho http://files.potholestudios.com/dazzaja ... t/bat1.rar

SiK are actually Ex-PHS Members. (Well, the Founders of SiK are, DemonSeed, Grim_Reeper, and a few others) that started when I got annoyed at NickT for ignoring the forum rules, I warned him multiple times, but in the end banned him. For some reason DemonSeed and the others got annoyed with me enforcing the rules, and they left. I don't have any problem with them. Hell, one of the PS Clan members is also a member of SiK. and I don't have any issues with that.

Noticing that you guys run F1 championships, i figured you may like this also (it would need converting tho)
Adelaide, Australia. Adelaide was the Australian Formula 1 track from 1985 till 1995. in 1996 the Australian Formula 1 was moved to Albert Park, Melbourne. (i do not have a copy of Albert park, Sorry)
If you wish to have it in your championship, the DL link is here: http://files.potholestudios.com/dazzaja ... s/ade1.rar it obviously would need converting from RD3 to MTA.
Heres a coupple of video's of the Real track back when it was used for F1.
Onboard Lap with Ayrton Senna in a McLaren MP4/8 (Adalaide 1993) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 154891779#
1993 Adelaide Onboard: Alain Prost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBpAz4a0itM
a very Brief history of the track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC-d__CIrRA
And the Most Exciting race ending in Australian Touring Cars on the Adelaide Track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nflj21etu5E
The Adelaide Race track is still used today in the Australian Touring Car Championship.
And some screenshots of it in RD3:

There's only 4 sports that Aussies follow. Soccer isn't one of them
There's AFL (for most states, such as Victoria) There's NFL (followed in retarded states like New South Wales There's Cricket (followed by boring people that like to watch a game almost as boring as Golf)
then... there's Motorsport, the V8 Supercars.
Thats it, the the only 4 sports Aussie's follow, 3 of which being ball sports.
Nah, I'm being an arse. I'll bet some Aussie's follow Soccer, but none that I know or care about.

Tested it in MTA. Everything loads and works perfectly. But because codemasters use floating details for almost everything, some track textures didnt come out too well. They are good but can be much much better. Should be ready by the end of the week.

your track is ready. I PM'ed you the link where to download. This is how to get it open in editor:
-move the the 2 folers (race-bathursts and map-bathurst) to \MTA\server\mods\deathmatch\resources\ -open editor -open the map. It will be called 'Bathurst' in the list of all maps -open the console with ¬ key and type 'start map-bathurst' -thats it, enjoy
Any problems or issues post on here. I have added a lot more tyre walls to prevent cutting, so if u dont like it let me know, will remove them.

Thanks man. i posted a link to Adelaide Track (The Australian F1 Track between 1985 and 1995) a few pages ago - i dont want it, but i figure it would be a good addition to the SKC F1, if you want it, go for it. i dont want it. Or even it you want any of the tracks listed a few pages ago, iil upload them and give the links. - im not fused about them.
But yeah, thanks for doing the convert of Bathurst!
