Just wondering when they will be reset again.
I thought we had agreed to reset them once every month and hand out cups for the winners of that month.

I agree with monthly stats recording, but overall stats would be nice also :shock:

Is there any chance of restoring stats lost in two previous resets?

/me missing his some 3 thousand recorded races

That was the plan, but some of us have full time jobs

That said, today is my last day in work for three weeks, so I will hopefully have a bit of time to do stuff like coding the league/cup thing.

Each time the stats are reset, I'll be archiving those stats so that we have an overall total

I agree the toptimes sould be reset regularly, not the stats though, just if the toptimes were regularly reset, it keeps it....um....'fresher'

Cant u modify the forum not to track the best current toptimes, but to just record the best ever times? So u could reset times on the server and the website would save the best times?...That would rock...

The server would be more active with noobs 'breaking' records, and the forum would become like a "Hall of fame" too, sounds simple to me, but i am a simple person

Or if that sounds too hard, be lazier and just write down a list of the toptimes directly from the scripts? You could even just put them in a sticky thread named HallofFame, just to keep it really simple, i dunno, but whatever, i do think toptimes should be reset more regularly, just to keep new players interested...

I like HT's idea, so this is what I propose.

The 'championship' will be run each month. All stats and top times will be cleared, but the best ever time of each map will be shown on the website. The players in the top three each month will receive nothing but glory (and a cup under their names in the forum). I think we can 'start again' with the current stats and top times, simply because there's been a lot of fiddling with the maps and the scripts etc since they were last reset, and it would be nice to have a clean slate to start the championship with.

I will be responsible for running the championship, as I have access to the scripts and the database and the other juicy bits. Thus I will be the 'judge' if anything dodgy is going on. I would rule myself ineligible for this, but to be honest the chances of me coming in the top 3 is pretty slim so forget that

It will be a bit of fun, and there'll be no fighting or bitching involved

Anyone discovered cheating at all will be disqualified from the current and future championships and lose any previous championship positions.

I plan on getting this into action, preferably this week or maybe around the new year, whenever time permits.

I personally think you should have high priority to participate in any skc event due to the fact your the saviour of skc. And HT thats a great idea, shame i wont be coming back in coz i cant find the gta disk and i cba to download 4gb from torrents lol. Anyone fancy mailing me a copy?
