I found the default image used for the chequared flag in the GTA folder, replaced it with that one and made screenshot. Simples. I think its in one of the generic TXDs

Maybe there is some kind of replace global texture function? then the tessalation thingy can be used

You can't change txd files that aren't in gta3.img with the engine functions.
You can use shaders to replace the texture.
Send a PM with the txd file if you don't know how

Thx dop3, shame I thought it would be a more recent version. How about other GT3 cars any dashboard views for those? Otherwise most of the details are spot on.
