Ultimately, what we went for was essentially a drive through the alps, and a car show.. Did 3197 miles in total, took near enough 1600 photos along the way. Drove down to Dover on Thursday 26th of May, our ferry was booked for 4AM Friday 27th, but with our excitement we couldn't sleep lol, so we sat and waited at the top of the multistory car park for a few hours, eventually getting the 2AM ferry. Got across into France 2 hours later, and by 9PM that night we we're in Swtizerland, looking for somewhere to stay the night.. Found a small hotel for 100 Euro for the night for the two of us, including breakfast.. Next morning, drove up San Bernardino Pass, on to Davos, then across the border into Italy, into Livigno, which is tax free, so fuel etc is super cheap, filled up with V Power for 85p per litre We tried to make it to Stelvio (Can you tell we were following the Top Gear route? ) but we were told it was closed, so we had to go the long way round, even further south into Italy, putting extra hours/cost on our trip. But, when we got told it was closed at the checkpoint out of Livigno, we we're no where near Stelvio, so got turned around for no reason! As we found out later, after driving around about 3 hours extra, a car we had seen in Livigno drove passed us going the opposite way, having just come off the road we we're told was closed... Ā¬_Ā¬ Anyway, we got to our destination in Austria (Klagenfurt) at 2AM thanks to our delay.. I should point out we hadn't seen any police in any of the countries so far all the way to Austria, as my friend pointed out. Just as he said this, what goes by just after we cross the Austrian border? A police car. Obviously it's late, I'm the only car on the road, and he's going the opposite way.. Doesn't your heart just sink when you see them doing a U turn? To be fair, I was doing 45 in 30 zone or something, but that's because the speed limit signs in Austria suck! It looks just like our national speed limit sign (60mph).. Anyway, they send us on our way, we arrive at Klagenfurt where we find a lay by (Too late to find a campsite/hotel now) and sleep in the car for the night, along with lots of other VW's We stayed in Klagenfurt for 3 nights at a campsite after our budget was running low.. (I had just 30 Euros when we got to Livigno! Had to borrow money off my parents..) There's nothing I can say to describe it (Worthersee), it really is just one of those "You had to be there" times.. I suppose the pictures are the best way to describe it, but you just don't get the feel for it, the atmosphere.. We left Klagenfurt in the morning around 10AM, bound for Dunkerque once again via Germany/Holland/Belgium/France.. I drove none stop except for fuel fill ups till we go to the ferry around midnight, having to buy an earlier ticket as we we're obviously a day too early.. Got back to the UK for 1AM our time (1 Hour behind France) which is where me and my friend split the driving this time, through the night, one drove while one rested. And that was it, we were home for 7AM
Enough jabba, pictures! There is quite a few of my own car, but obviously! If your 20 year old car made it you'd like to be able to prove it too
Mileage before..
Mileage after..
On with the main pictures I guess..
Hanging out at Dover...
On board..
Farewell UK..
Hello France...
First piss/smoke break in France
Switzerland begins
San Bernardino did not look like it did on Top Gear.
Our hotel car park for the night..
Towards Davos
That's the end of the mobile phone pics, time for some DSLR action
Basically, we went into a 9 mile long tunnel, on the other side it was like a different world, went in rainy, came out boiling and bright..
Brakes were actually glowing orange/smoking, camera didn't capture it though..
I'll post the rest tomorrow, I've spent an hour and a half going through the photos again and making this topic lol

I'm going to a private school, so what do you think?
But I'm not a 'RichKid' like you imagine it, I'm normal.
I just said that the petrol is cheap there... and the other things there are nice, but expensive ;D

the key difference between UK and the civilized world is that, over there the roads work perfectly fine despite the snow... in the summer.
Go on then yoda tell us what you squeezed out of your car, mean speedwise not oil and other vital fluids
