Oh i just got my 8600 GT today and thought it would been fun to overclock LOL guess not but it's a great card i have superb gfx LOL

something similear happens to me, from time to time, when playing CS:S. all textures, maps, even lights get black color. usually happen after long play. and my pc works constantly arround 40*C, so, ye, it maybe some overheating. or this is just PhotoShopped lol

I have one too. Some day i overcloked it a bit, just a little. then went to play css. Map pextures were pink and black squares and stuff. I say this card sucks when overcloking. gotta buy a 8800gt. And what; your computer constantly 40*c obelix? then my pc is an oven, cuz my hdds are both +60*c, gpu always like 60, mobo up to 70 and processor idle 50*c

Bender what did u do to overclock? I used nTune and so easy to get my changes back. just a button pressed and it worked again.

lol...so I'm not that bad....max temp my pc ever had was arround 50-51*C. And I was rly scared. THen, my sis's pc works under 30 all time. As for pink-black, it happens too....I've seen it first when I didnt have original HL2 install, so some texture upgrades couldnt download and they've been such. As for overclocking, I have no idea whats that lol

Well, the pink and black just means a texture is missing in the source engine. See it all the time in Gmod if you download a map which uses textures from a game you don't have.

The bit to the left of the car is meant to be green grass, but it's the pattern for the tyres instead, the bit the cars on is meant to be a curb but is the glove texture, the road is the same texture used for cars dashboard, and wall to the top of the pic is made of speakers.

Yo Zer0 I used Ntune, overclocked from 540 to 600 and 400 to 450, ow well ill never overclock it, my 6600 LE was good with overclocking, this one has a cooling thingy and yet it fails LOL
nice card tho might buy a 9600 GT or another 8600 gt and combine in sli

If I had the money I'd be tempted to get myself another 8800GT 512mb... But the heat from two of them would probably melt a hole through the floor... lol.
