After changing the default ghostmode status to off I'm not very happy way too many noobs around ruining the gameplay.
Its not about skills anymore, its pure luck.
So I just want to know your opinion about this...

Yeah , you're right. Also get rid of those 'forced gm off'-maps. I just want to race in gm constantly.

I voted Default OFF. People have chosen this in the survey and I think that's why server attendance has gone higher than it was months ago.

yep, that was the point of default gm off, to get more players and i somewhat like it, its not just a start, u need to look in 1337 different ways before you go in the first corner, once u've done that you're pretty much on your own..

There are times when i would agree with MC, but overall i don't mind. It can ruin the overall flow of gameplay, usually during MW when tension is high enough already i suppose. Outside of MW i think we'd all agree we don't care that much about getting noobed time and again, i know i don't.

Just a thought, or compromise even, how about including GM on by default in MW only, revert back to default Off afterwards when the numbers tend to decline and the racing is more managable.

I agree with Xerion and Skey, MTA:Race always has been without GM, i liked that most.

Maybe there is someway we can force utter noobs/rammers in GM?
Something like; not finishing 3 races in a row and you are forced in GM

PS, Forgive me for racing in GM today, they got shit internets here :(

Can we include GM for players with Player in their name aswell, they're generally a bunch of fkin idiots with massive pings anyway, saves us the trouble of kicking them time and again. And would i be right saying they can't be aliased, if there is such a word, which means you could get the same dickhead everyday doing the same shit just to wind us up.

The voting is close, i think there is good enough reason to make compromises.
As it stands, i'm with Mc on this one, but it tweaks were made, such as 'player' nick gm on by default, or <500 career points gm on by default, or admins can force it on, etc, then there will still be loads of gm off by default, but it'll be people who will brake at corners. There will still be epic chaotic moments, we all noob out at some point.

I guess the main problem is the grids, 20+ players bumper to bumper on 2 lane country roads, it's the old clusterfuck senario that we all know so well. We've got to keep it undr control somehow, manage the numbers.

One thing that defo requires a remedy and has been mentioned already is high pingers and low FPS players. I mean rediculously high or low. It's bad enough trying to second guess where some na\b is about to turn or brake or not brake without them rubberbanding down the road as well. We could solve that shit in an instant and yet nothing ever changes... please make it so. :)

MTA should stay MTA so GM default off but i do agree with sputs idea on MW turn it default ON.

Well there is one other way, i think they do it on Greens server, the collisions thing for the first 20 secs or so of the race. Collisions are set to off for everyone for a short period, eliminating any pileups at the first few corners etc. After that, "normal" ghosted/unghosted racing is resumed.

Yes you would think so, but you can fix that problem of instant unghost or whatever by setting the distance between players before unghost. If players are ontop of one another, or merged, ghost stays on until enough space between them exists.
