please help
guys please help me out. i have gtasa.exe version 1.0 and am using Plodderer's magic graphics enhancing thingy. but whenever i try to choose the setting for 1920x1080x32 and full screen (within mta video settings) it says it'll change when i restart mta. i restart and it goes to full screen but back to 800x600? how do i solve this?

@Fresh: to move that 'box' u need to modify the race scripts

@Ivan: try setting the resolution in sp first; if that doesnt work remove the magic graphics thingy

single player doesnt allow widescreen rez (HD) in 1xe ver 1.0, so could i upgrade to 1.2 with mta stilll working?

Couple of occasions where part way through a map there will be a line of barrels blocking the road where there shouldn't be any, (seems to happen on barrel maps only), also a pile of logs in the same way blocking the road, and now and again the odd empty randomly parked vehicle. Anyone else noticed this crazy shit?! I kno Sys has already, so it's not me losing my marbles. Bug do we think?

I doubt I'll be adding anything more, so they'll have to do until someone else does a better job.

More things...

Console tips:
(All commands can be done in the console)
F8 - Toggle the console
Up/down arrows - Step through command history
Tab - Autocomplete from history (Keep pressing tab to cycling through matches)

Map commands:
maps - List the maps in the console
changemap <mapname> - Change the map
(Where mapname is the map or file name. e.g: changemap race-vrally or changemap V Rally )

since you mentioned this, one more thing about register/login:

you can either use:
1. register <username> <password>
2. register <password> - in this case the <username> will be your current nickname

same goes for login, so for a faster way to login just type: login <password> - ofc you must have the same nickname as the user registered

I had the SKC server in my 'favourites' list in MTA 1.0. Last night I popped on and found that it had been changed into something like "dull test server", which required a padlock. In my 'recently played' servers, both that server and the SKC server were listed. What was that all about?

so /stfu, /bah, /spliff, /fu, /bl, /gtfo, /h4x they're all back

There's obviously a conflict with /kill, it's the same as /kill i.e [name] is going to kill you!, and peeps keep getting the wrong end of the stick :p

Also, would it be possible to bring back the old banning system too, /getID, /banID, was it? it's been that long i don't remember...seems a lot simpler than faffing with the ACP anyhow.

And what about /alias - i'm 95% sure we had a hacker on the server yesterday who had the ability to create explosions at the start of the race that would sap players health, and also make players spontaneously explode at any stage in the race, went on for about an hour. It all started not long after this guy AbD|1|*dd:) joined the server and ended the moment he left... i would have been confident enough to ban this guy after he left, had i been able to obtain his IP.

ok ppl, new 'scripts' are on; here's whats all about:

new NOS style: click to start nos and click again to turn it off

player stats work for Gon users (players with Ghost Mode on) too just that they get half the normal points and they cant set toptimes..

Ghost Mode Commands: use F2 to toggle it on/off or type /gon to turn it on and /goff to turn it off

hmmm imo we gotta do ghost-mode-on-players less viewable because when there was 15 peeps man couldnt distinct who can he drive through. thats confusing a bit ;<
(my example: some map in SF, i was driving with 4 other players 'inside' me and few seconds later i tryed to drive through ghost-mode-off-player hehe :p)

hey, everyone knows that windows that appears when u join the server, right? that says that we hold a championship and we give prize money this month..
i started to get bugged by it so i made a 'show on startup' checkbox in the right lower corner, default is on, but you can un-tick it so that the window wont appear next time you join
if you want to make it appear again all you have to do is delete the wnd_settings.xml file from 'MTA San Andreas\mods\deathmatch\resources\welcome_window\' folder

update: Secret Race winners gets to wear that rotating shiny star near his nickname; anyway it dissapears in the next hour.. so he might have it for 30-45 mins or 5 mins, depending on when the secret race is :)

Just a simple request, is it possible to put a shorter timer on the vote new map command (/new), maybe 6 seconds, combined with waiting for players to be ready and the 3 second countdown to race, that's long enough for players to decide if they wanna skip - fed up of getting to checkpoint 15 when the map suddenly changes :wink:

problem with GM atm, F2 doesn't work - /goff does, but collisions are still possible with players with GM activated.
