rainbow colored roads?? thats just a demo of what u can do with the new mta:dm ..... we can still have our true Race maps... and the race mode looks great... i really hope we will have a server soon coz im kinda missing the old good racing...

what the hell is that some emo clown map. and they've been working on their sync system for such a long time and then everything is hopping about like mad....

lets hope that that is just due to some laggy asians and yanks

Is it possible to turn off that "drive through me" feature? I find it very confusing now. How I'm going to ram somebody, trying to overtake me, with this on?

Yes, you can disable it. If we ever start a DM server we probably will.

Assuming you can activate it on certain players (like some can have ghost mode on and others won't have it on), we could do some sort of a competition where the player of the weeks get to use ghost mode for like a day.

I doubt thats possible tbh. Even if you could enable it for one person, he would probably be ramming everyone else by driving through them.

When I was dicking about with mta:dm server about a year ago, my intention was that you log in with a username and password if you want to race 'normally' and be able to register times etc. People who didn't log in would be put into 'ghost' mode, where they could race but be unable to ram people and hack the top times. Their car would be a specific colour (bright green or something) so you'd know instantly who you are racing against.

People who register and log in would get to keep their nicks (no more clones) and specify things like their own personal car colour/texture and character.

Unfortunately a year ago it was gobshite and I became disheartened by it's numerous bugs. Hopefully nowadays it's a lot better

hitman it is possible and i've done it before.

Just use webcammax to stream the entire screen thru a virtual webcam and then setup an account on www.justin.tv or www.ustream.com and stream the virtual webcam.

Also skey my idea was that the top played couldnt not be rammed but he couldnt ram other players either, like in those videos. Other players could still ram eachother but the winner couldnt not be rammed nor ram others.

bagpuss that would be a great idea but only when he have a good and solid player base. If a new player comes in and sees all that he'll think "screw this" and move on to the next race server.

tbh ive been on the mgc race server on mta dm and id say the race mod is a lot better now and i think we would get much more players on mta dm than we get right now on mta race.

That all sounds very nice but who's going to do all the scripting for that?

@Dave: you can try out the nightly builds to see what its going to be like. I think its definitely going to be an improvement over the current MTA race. Its going to take a lot of work to make it "our own" though.
