Adiboy is going to port the Race scripts to the DD server.
but there is still a liltle doubt about the kind of points system we should use.
Should it be like the Race system or shouldnt it be changed, so we keep the current system.

I'm not sure if it will translate that well.
If you die 1st or 5th doesnt really mean much in DD. Its winner take all imo.

Maybe its a better idea to just give points to the 1st place? Or to the top 3?

I have been thinking about suggesting as Whisky says: 1 point for number one. All the losers get nothing. This to prevent all the camping for points..

at the moment points only shows how no-lifer you are.. You can do nothing with points.. Points system is pointless imo..

So points point atm is only to show "how much you contribute to the server"?
Would be cool if you can do something with points too.. Maybe tuning your car for points? in Russian DD server there is something similar..
And please don't call me to nugget. It is just what i think of current points system..

we need a new point system on the DD server... they got in 2 days 6k points (and the day isnt over, tonight they will have 8-10k or more)

they points does now only show how nolife someone is...

Why dont you use the race formula? That makes it easier to catch up with the top players.
Maybe (race formula)/4? If theres 32 players online, a noob could get a max of 32 points, the leader in the champ could get as little as 2 points for winning.

i agree entirely with what you all saying " race = epic win, dd = moderate fail" so I do genuenly beleive race system would be much better

@tula: i never said i'm working on a race-like system for the dd server, i dont have to work on it, i just have to copy over few script lines and its done; i asked ppl at first if they wanted the current system and the race system and they said they want the system that we have now

if you want i can change it to a race-like system but its already 8th of the month so it would mess up with the current championship if we change now..

point reset was at the 5th and only the nolifers got more than 4k points now
so it does only mess up the nolifers and no one cares about them ^^
