Correct! Hexis got 1st and 3rd places in their race, loosing the FIA GT1 Championship by 1 point. Don't know how this works as website isn't very clear.

Another 2 cars (United Autosport) in different British GT Championship finished also 1st and 3rd.

Overall a brilliant weekend.

It was not easy. Interestingly the Nissan managed to find 5 seconds per lap during the last 3. On old tyres and worn brakes... Hax.

Good job congrats quite an accomplishment with the electronic fail and that drive through,that GTR did so well with strategy starting from P13 but wasnt shane taking it easy near the end?

Shane is a legend. He made the call to use the strategy that we used in the first place.

After the final stop he extended the gap to 14 seconds. On the last lap he was celebrating while going down conrod straight. Hence why it was so 'close' in the end.

In other news Shane and I had a go on his I racing simulator and I am only 10 seconds off the pace

I have wanted a rig for ages! :lol:

We were working at the Autosport show in Birmingham not too long ago. Over the 2 days that we had free I had a go on several sims - all running project cars and one rfactor. They had massively powerful steering wheels that always yanked it out of your hands for no reason. I cant imagine why somebody would pay 50k for something like that. Some had chairs that would move before the screen would move (slow computers) making for a very weird feeling.

The most pleasant to use were the chairs with minimal or no movement. Logitech steering wheels (a little weak but miles better than the belt driven 'pro' setups). Pedals however are a different story. The expensive setups nailed this - really nice progressive feeling.

Yeah too true about the wheel and pedals you can get by just fine with a £100 -£200 logitech wheel but the pedals leave a lot to be desired and take some getting used to as they feel nothing like a real brake pedal.
I got given a set of fanatec pedals with a load cell brake which felt a lot more like a real brake pedal but had problems with them so back to the shit pedals,some of the hydraulic pedal sets look amazing but the price is a bit much for me to be playing pretend race cars
