Serius, i dunno. Portugal is a great team in this period, i'm sure this team can arrive near the final.

Idem for Holland, Van Basten is the real great force of this team (his mentality and strategy...).

Mutu shouldnt have taken that penaty, the coach shouldnt let him ffs, he plays in the same country as buffon, they know eachother, that was the stupidest thing our coach did, someone else should ave taken that penalty

Woohoo Spain has safely made it to the quaters. It was pretty much of a satisfactory win as they scored in the last 5 mins of the match against Greece which was successfully headered in by Daniel Guiza. A classical rescue back taking themselves through over a 2-1 result to Spain.

Not forgetting Russia and Sweden with Russia just pwning thorugh the match successfully by pwnting Sweden over a very satisfying result indeed with a figure of 2-0 towards Russia which should push them up to second place. Sweded did have more possession over the match and dominated 56% of the match but Russia pwned them with the two nice finishes and the last one of them being tapped in by Andrei Arshavin.

Both nice matches. I watched the Sweden one though and spectated the Spain goal towards the last 5 mins.

Update: Croatia 1 -VS- 1 Turkey - Turkey take the match in the shootouts.

It all went so well for Croatia until Turkey got one in the last minuite of the match! Yes, literally seconds left before the end of the match! Then it went onto the penalty shootouts where Turkey won the shootout 3-1! So Croatia have unsuccessfully lost the match.

While without a doubt Russia outplayed Holland, I wouldn't be surprised if their film industry is brimming with talented actors after watching the number of Russians falling over and pretending that they are in such severe pain.

I am going to put my imput in this as I thought Holland played just a little bit, or can I say shite in the match. They could have easily won but their chances were so slim that they hardely got any. The 'underdogs' seemed to dominate 'most' if I must say 'all' of the match and definately including extra time as they got in two goals then.

It was hilarious seeing the NL players getting highly furstrated towards the last 5 mins of the game when their chances became more than impossible to overcome.

But, yeh my instant reaction to that match was "woah, they got out-preformed, by Russia?!? :lol:

That match with Turkey and Germany was just unbelievable. The first goal comes from Turkey around the 25-30min mark and three mins later Germany gets one back. Then the same happens later with Germany when Turkey got one back on them. Then there was the incident involved near the Penalty box where there was a pure foul claimed against Turkey and the ref didn't even look at the guy. The ref was a load of garbigarians and so was Germany as they were playing sloppy and keeping their players up-front which, normally, isn't like them.

Anyway, I think Spain is going to nick the title.
