i was thinking of this just now, about the points championship
as it stands the person with most points wins at the end of the month.
which is fine:
it rewards people who race well adn race often
but sometimes you can race ALOT without racing well, and if you're only racing when the server is busy you can collect a lot of points by beating very poor racers or dudes with lag issues.
so i just thought, why not invite the top 8 racers [on points] at the end of each month for a 10-20 race final which you could be hosted in the circuits server by putting a pw on it. once a month, if someone cant show, tough!
i dont reakon i'd be in the running for this but i was just thinking for ppl who finish 4th or 5th or 6th etc may be a bit disapointed, if the guys in 1st 2nd 3rd have started twice as many races and have only marginally more points.
in fact you could invite the first 6 on points
then the person with the biggest points to race ratio [more than 250 races]
then the person with the biggest 1stplace to points ratio [more than 1000points]
eg whiskey has 6.58 points/race and is in 11th place with 234 races
and would obviously be a good contender for a final
you could earn your place in the final by lots of skill and reasonable participation
or lots of participation and reasonable skill
anyhoo just a thought or maybe ppl think the systme that is, is good enuf.
i know it'd be more work. i'd just be interested to hear others' thoughts?
