This thread is to remember the best and worst time's of skc, our history for the newer members and memorys of the old members of skc,
the one's that we loved, hated, never knew ect.
We're nearing the 2year point of our history and would like to remember all the things SKC.

I'll start with the history of SKC:

It all started back at the end of a cold November 2006, most of us current SKC members were big fans of the MTA:SA modification and mainly our home server was GTAMP.net which was run by =TmM=Devil (Chris), this was one of the most popular server's at the time and to be honest i learnt most i know about MTA race in that server.
Things weren't going to be great for much longer, Devil (Chris) the owner of GTAMP went AWOL, the members were annoyed as we all knew the bill's weren't going to get paid and this place we called home was going to be shut down. Worst of all there was nothing we could do about it. Eventually the server was closed due to non payments of bills and very soon the site followed, we all lost contact, the GTAMP fans were all lost, things weren't looking good for us or the MTA community as a whole, afterall we had all lost a great racing server.

After thinking long and hard about what to do, i came up with the idea of getting a server and finding all the old GTAMP members, my brother had just bought the domain name 'sofakingcool.org' which he had no use for, and at the time my ingame name was SofaKingCool, so in no time at all i had quickly named our site and server SofaKingCool while changing my name (back) to Hitman. I rounded up as many people as possible, i even got the current GTAMP resident =TmM= clan to join us. It was great, all the old faces were back, it felt like home all over again. Just with one problem though, =TmM= had NO leader, NO site and NO server, so i decided to create the [SKC] clan, i invited as many people as possible to join, i even got alot of the ex =TmM= members to join. But this wasn't going to be an easy ride.

Arguments we're happening over the site, i had found out that GTAMP had re-opened their server, along with this i'd also heard that they we're trying to 'poach' my members off me by offering them admin status. I didn't like this and went on a mad one banning ALL ex =TmM= members from the site and server, including the innocent ones.

This drew a big black shadow over the [SKC] server and things weren't looking good, our members started leaving to go play on GTAMP, their numbers were getting higher than ours, and all my hard work fell on deaf ears. So plan B came into action, i re-vamped the site, i went on a mission recruiting as many people as possible to join (persuading the hard to get ones with Admin Level

). This worked and [SKC] suddenly grew bigger and bigger, creating a big divide between [SKC] and =TmM=. We were full on enemys, we had the biggest arguments and we even had the entire [SKC] clan BANNED from the GTAMP server!! (im sure the older members will bring up some of the stuff that happened as there's too much to write here).

We had tried other games, other mods, lots of changes and lots of different 'ideas' to keep the team together and make it bigger, but after a long hard struggle i decided to quit my role as Leader along with my brother Kingbong (who was my sidekick all along lol). In this move i lost all the old site and was left with nothing, so i handed the site/server over to Bagpuss and he handed leadership of the clan to Whiskey and his lil bro Mystic. And now, nearly 2 years later here we are, still thriving, still gaining and losing members, still adding new idea's... its been a great ride, i've loved and hated alot of parts of it, but the main thing come's down to this, we have cool members, we've made cool friends, we've even made cool enemys, overall this is why we're SofaKingCool!

and they have now changed to = Multi Gaming Collective and have a pretty succesfull MTA:DM server. Also i think they've finally closed their race server

Ah yeah, I hang around the [MgC] server a bit. Don't recognise any of their members apart from Stig.
I actually just stumbled upon the MgC server though. I went in there, then stig just said "hi matt", I thought I had a stalker, then recognised who it was, lol.

Yeah we finally gave up on the old dead =TmM=.

We have been thinking for ages of closing the race server as its been dead for ages. Waste of money just having it sit there empty.

So we are now concentrating on our DM server which is doing damn well. Better than i ever expected!

Now, how the hell do i change my name on here lol

I remember I was 14 odd and I was highly hated by everyone for being SKC.

I even remember Wursefinger left because of me but never knew what I did to him even till now which still remains as a conspiracy to me...

Wurst left after Brothers humiliated him for obj.2918 maps...they suck, they suck hard, harder, etc....He couldnt stand pressure....which along his high ping, made him even bigger idiot....than you at least. I still remember playing with you boobs on GTAMP, skey, kuniva (now dopeman) wurst, SyS and a few more, i even remember Hitman posting on the GTAMP forum calling me a haxor because of the top times glitch :lol:

Then when the server ended I played alot on LW, even after I saw that you'd created GTAMP again, I only moved to SKC when I saw that you were recruting old GTAMP members (not TmM members, just the regulars live I said above) and tried my luck, raced against the "secret racer" (which was KB btw :p) and joined SKC

There's plenty of stories with us getting banned from GTAMP simply for having an SKC tag, the haxors trying to infiltrate our clan (and yes that includes you Killerno (jk you never haxed but still we treat you like you

) and when we just when to LW and went wild (SCK anyone?) LOL, but for now I'm tired of typing

Just been wonderin. Who is/was tokyo-drift, hydro and merlin?
I have read somthing about them but i really dont know what happend.

I remember playing whit the tokyo guy about 1.5 years ago on the skc server, and he did get kicked allot because of his high ping.
ppl were feling sorry for him at that time

oh, and btw when was the forum moved from the sofakingcool site to teamskc? I can remember that i was on the sofakingcoolforum when i started to play on the server

That's quite an emotional read.

Not the 'oh the memories!' kind, but the 'the fuck have I been doing with my life...' kind.

I remember when SKC was regarded as the best clan on MTA. I used to go on other servers, tag displayed oh-so-proudly, and people would actually comment on how they were gunna get pwnt. Then the whole 'SKC is full of cheaters' thing happened. Kick in the nuts that was. Anytime you were remotely good on any other server they put it down to hacks. Especially GTAMP... bloody emos...

I remember first discovering MTA and thinking ....why the fuck didn't i know about this sooner, this is the muts nuts!

There was an old map called something like, The Long Way Round, had a daft amount of CPs, and if i'm right it circumnavigated the entire GTA map. A bit like a 24 hour Le Mans
